Abstract

Nowadays plasma has found wide industrial applications. One of these applications is layer deposition for surface modification and creating special physico- chemical and mechanical properties for the deposited layer. In this research work, a plasma torch is designed and manufactured for deposition of some non-metallic and metallic oxides on refractory stainless steel substrate via plasma spraying. (X-Ray Diffract meter)XRD  results confirm the formation of designed layers. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) also illustrates the formation of different Macromolecules (Nano-sized) on the surfaces of the samples. Alloy Coating is widely used to prevent the surface material destructions at high temperatures .One can use Plasma Torches to deposit refractory oxide like (Al2O3, SiO2, TiO2, and ZrO2) which have high melting points and it is not possible to melt and spray them with conversional methods.
